Bb. Pilipinas Pageant Winner

Another set of beauties were crowned as Philippines ambassador of goodwill and beauty.
Janina San Miguel, a 17 year-old lass was declared the 2008 Bb. Pilipinas-World. Jennifer Barrientos was Bb. Pilipinas-Universe and Patricia Fernandez is Bb. Pilipinas-International. The pageant was held last March 9, 2008 at the Araneta Colesium in Quezon City, Philippines. It was a night of succeed to some but everyone was in awed when San Miguel was included in the list of winners.

“To gain a lot of experiences, new friends and opportunities” “Bata pa talaga ako, dream ko na ito talaga. Nakikita ko sa TV and I think it’s a nice experience. I knew then that I would try it.”

“My confidence and mypersonality, even if this is my first time in a big pageant. I was first runner-up in Miss UE.”

Jennifer Barrientos is the Binibining Pilipinas-Universe titleholder for 2008. She is the official representative of the Philippines to the Miss Universe pageant that will take place in Nha Trang, Vietnam in July 15, 2008.

Asked during the question and answer portion, which person she admires the most, she answered "Mother Theresa." She was on her way to impressing the judges with her answer until she made a blooper by saying "I believe all of us should do her." She quickly corrected herself afterwards.

The 22-year-old speech communication graduate from the University of the Philippines reportedly fainted backstage before the announcement of the winners. She was quickly attended to and recovered in time for the announcement.

Moving on the next row of hotties is Christian Vasquez. Hunk Pinoy Christian Vasquez was born on February 8, 1977 in Bacolod City, Philippines. He is a Filipino actor, model and a former housemate of ABS-CBN's Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Edition. During his stint at PBB, he was one of the comedian housemates. He graduated high school at the University of St. La Salle-Integrated School Batch 1994 in Bacolod City.
























And comes Borgy Manotoc. He was born on April 9, 1983, in Honolulu. He is the grandson of the late Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos and son of re-elected Ilocos Norte representative Imee Marcos. His father, sportsman Tommy Manotoc, gave him the moniker Borgy, after the tennis icon Bjorn Borg. Manotoc has vague recollections of his childhood.

And I will never forget this one...Alfred Vargas, born in San Juan, Metro Manila on October 24, 1981, is a Filipino film and TV actor. He started his career as a member of ABS-CBN Star Circle acting workshop batch 10. From there he had his TV role in the drama soap opera Pangako Sa Yo (My Promise to You) from the same network. But this Ateneo de Manila graduate was acting in theatre long before the talent scouts lured him into television. Here he is..

And he is DEREK RAMSAY! Derek Ramsey (sometimes referred to as Derek Ramsay) is one of the Philippines’ top male models. He is also an actor, a veejay, a host, and commercial model.

And everyone should never miss JON AVILA! Viewers know Jon for his good looks and admirable body. However, despite the fame he is experiencing now, Jon has not had an easy life growing up in London. Jon struggled with harsh racial discrimination since he was the only Asian in school. Because of being constantly ostracized by his schoolmates, Jon’s self-esteem hit rock bottom. The bullying finally came to an end when he entered college where he found real friends.

Then he traveled to the Philippines in search of a new life, but to his disappointment, more trials and difficulties came his way. Jon recalls the time when he used to live in a small room with no air con and electricity. For some time, he slept on a cheap mattress, feeling lonely and missing the company of family and friends.

Juan Carlos Cuenca, better known by his screen name Jake Cuenca (born December 30, 1987 in San Jose, California, USA), is a Filipino print and commercial model and a television and filmactor who rose to prominence via his stint as one of the young stars in the youth-oriented show Click. He was a contract star of GMA Network but jumped to ABS-CBN after his contract with GMA Network expired. He is currently a member of ABS CBN's elite circle of homegrown talents properly named Star Magic. He was also a student of PAREF Southridge, a school for boys.

Cuenca grew up in California and was the middle child in a brood of three. His career in the Philippines began when he was discovered by a talent scout for Cosmo Modeling Agency at the age of nine. Soonafter, he made several television and print commercials including endorsements for Safeguard, Coke and Globe Telecom.

By the time he was fourteen, Cuenca was taken under the wing of star makers Neil de Guia and Douglas Quijano. In fact, Jake Cuenca is certified a true Kapamilya when he appeared in the ABS-CBN 2006 Christmas Station ID entitled" Angat ang Ligaya ng Pasko" & he is a cast of the recently concluded one of the highest ratings of ABS-CBN soap opera entitled "Sana Maulit Muli" which garnered 36.1% nationwide ratings with Kim Chiu & Gerald Anderson which aired last January 8, 2007. Jake was also in a Lovespell Episode called "Sweet Sixty", starring Sarah Geronimo, Oyo Boy Sotto, and Roxanne Guinoo. I have been looking for any bio of Bruce Quebral and to my dismay, I found none. Wheeww! Do hot men necessarily be hidden with? Are they dont belong to the public? But yes whatever it is, I find some good things about Bruce. I got the pics and that could bring some sleepless nights and a lot of daydreaming..I might of course actually come across with the bio some other times.
